Body Shape Calculator

Enter bust, waist and hips for a rough styling guide based on proportions. Use one unit for all three measurements.

Units:

How the formula works

Hourglass — Bust and hips differ by no more than 5% of the larger measurement; waist is at least 25% smaller than that measurement.

Pear — Hips exceed bust by more than 5% of the larger measurement, unless the apple rule applies.

Inverted triangle — Bust exceeds hips by more than 5% of the larger measurement, unless the apple rule applies.

Rectangle — Bust and hips are balanced, with a waist larger than the hourglass threshold and smaller than the apple threshold.

Apple — Waist is at least 98% of both bust and hips. This rule is checked first.
